we video called last night because she couldn’t sleep. almost 4 am there, 10 pm here. i was tired too. i propped my laptop up on a pillow and dragged the tab with her face in it right next to my own, the closest thing i could do to feel like she was sleeping right next to me. her sleeping face didn’t cover my whole screen, the rest of it was too bright. i went into my image folder and picked one out to fill the empty space.
